This September, Dean College welcomed its second largest class in the past 30 years. The 581 new students bring the overall enrollment of Dean College to a new high enrollment mark of nearly 1100 students. The college received a record number of applications for admission, with over 2400 students seeking admission to Dean.
“I am thrilled with the quality of this year’s class,” said Jim Fowler, Assistant Vice President for Enrollment. “They are a vibrant group who exemplify the Dean Difference.”
This year’s class of new students represents 23 states and 24 countries. Students in the new class bring to Dean a range of talents including a pageant winner, multiple competitive dancers, numerous championship athletes and a member of the Moldovan U-20 International Soccer Team. The class is only surpassed in size by last year’s entering class. 30% entered indicating an intention to complete a bachelors degree at Dean while 70% indicated plans to take advantage of Dean’s exceptional transfer placement by earning an associate degree.
“I think the last couple of classes illustrate that the word is out about Dean College,” Fowler said. “Students today are looking for an experience where they are understood as individuals and that recognizes that they are independent minded with specific goals and dreams. Dean has demonstrated time and again that we provide an ideal environment for such students.”
Dean is also proud of the financial assistance offered to this year’s class. Over $15 million was awarded in grant and scholarships to help students afford the advantages of a Dean education.
Dean College is a small, private college located in Franklin, MA that emphasizes an individualized education for students and boasts a strong track record of preparing students for what’s next.
