Learning Support Services
You are an individual. Why, then, would you want to learn in an environment that expects every student to learn the exact same way. At Dean College, we recognize that there isn’t a direct correlation between learning style and intelligence, rather, by recognizing your individual learning style and working with it, you can succeed beyond your own expectations.
Learning support at Dean is a multi-layered structure that encompasses a wide range of services and resources. The hub of this activity is the Library Learning Commons, a dynamic facility that is home to a dedicated staff of academic coaches and tutors, comfortable study spaces and advanced technological tools to assist students of all learning styles.
There are a number of different programs at Dean College designed to help students succeed:
- The Arch Learning Community – Specialized program for students with diagnosed learning disabilities
- The Pathway Learning Community – A one-semester program designed to assist academically appropriate students with the transition to college learning
- Personalized Learning Services – Tailored, one-on-one academic coaching that focuses on the individual needs of each student
